While we begin to rebuild our homes, thousands of us need financial help with our home payments. I have been waiting on hold to talk to the wrong people so you don’t have to. Below I have listed the correct numbers as well as any financial relief/disaster relief programs I’ve found, hours of operation and anything else. Below is an incomplete list with disaster relief info given from the named lender/servicer.
Rocket Mortgage/Quicken Loan
Immediate prompt “if you’ve been affected by natural disaster, press 0” As soon as FEMA declares your area as a disaster area, you will be eligible for 3 month’s mortgage forbearance.
Veteran’s United
Follow prompts to speak with a representative, they don’t have Ian-specific relief however they do have financial hardship relief which would apply.
Guaranteed Rate
Choose language, selection 3 for current mortgages. No further data until business hours M-F 830am-7pm.
Bank of America
They are providing 3 months of forbearance for those affected by Hurricane Ian, business hours M-F 8am-9pm.
PNC Bank
Representative said they do NOT have forbearance for hurricane victims, I urge you to try anyways.
FlagStar Bank
They have forbearance options, some longer some shorter which is decided case by case, M-F 830am-5pm.
Chase
Chase is offering 3 months forbearance, business hours M-F 830am-5pm.
Loan Depot
Loan Depot is offering 3 months forbearance, business hours M-F 8am-11pm.
Wells Fargo
Wells Fargo does have options available but it will be decided on a case by case basis, mortgage business hours M-F 7am-11pm, Saturday 9am-3pm.
Fairway Independent Mortgage
Options are available for those who qualify, call in and tell them about your situation, business hours M-F 830am-5pm.
Ally Financial
No additional information yet, business hours 930am-6pm M-F, Saturday 830am-1pm.
